I would "guess" just based on the fact that you cannot find a BIOMETRICS entry in the Device Manager, that your machine does not include the fingerprint reader hardware.

Your product is listed as "Base Model" - this is perhaps not the same thing as the "full" model in terms of what is included. So, I was curious about this but could not check on it until now.
